Easy Pdf Password Recovery is a tool intended to decrypt protected PDF files, allowing you to reset the edit, copy, and print functions that are usually restricted by user and owner Adobe passwords. The password decryption process can be performed using the built-in password dictionary or the default mode. Alternatively, you can select the custom mode if you have any idea of what the password might look like. Thus, you can make the program look for certain types of characters (numbers, lower- and uppercase letters, spaces, brackets, non-English characters, etc.), and limit its possible length.
Regrettably, the trial version used to write this review is so heavily restricted that none of the options offered by the interface can be selected. Therefore, the only possibility left to the reviewer was so limited that none of the PDF files used to test it produced a positive feedback. This trial version can supposedly decrypt files with a user or owner password of no longer than three characters, provided it is included in the active password dictionary. Thus, with the default and custom options disabled, the chances of finding (or creating) a PDF file that could be opened by this tool were very very slim. In fact, it was found to be impossible, and frustrating.
- The restrictions of the trial version make it unusable.
